yea, his biggest problem right now is because hes skipping over due process, there is no way to know if half the people accused of drug crimes are actually guilty or if someone is trying to settle a personal vendetta score...
Hes walking a fine line, and while many of my filipino friends are convinced he is the savior of my homeland, I’m highly sceptical...

A) reagan needed the strategic location of the bases in the Philippines to fight russia and communism...reagan paid marcos directly while making it seem like the millions of dollars he was sending was supposed to go to aid the people of the philippines and that it was marcos hoarding all the money...
B) reagan promised the UN to handle the marcos situation himself, thus buying both those fuckers time to keep doing the shady shit they were doing

both reagan and marcos were for some stupid reason, firm believers that the japanese hid yamashito’s gold in the philippines and were obsessed with finding it. reagan even had members of the CIA hunting for it in the jungle...
